Vaibhavi Venkataramanan

Section Manager: Impacts on Education, Environment, and Medicine

Vaibhavi Venkataramanan is the Section Manager for COVID-19: Impacts on Education, Environment and Medicine. Her duties include overseeing the task groups under this category, keeping open communication with task leaders regarding deadlines and queries, and ensuring that proper and quality work is being completed in each group. She is a sophomore at the University of Louisville studying Neuroscience on the pre-med track. She has been conducting web-based research on a variety of topics including nanotechnology and pediatric medicine and psychiatric disorders. She joined RFC to learn more about topics related to COVID-19, their interdisciplinary applications and to increase public awareness of these issues. In addition, she looks forward to getting involved in more formative research projects through RFC and beyond. Currently, she is researching vaccine progress and psychological effects of covid on survivors in her task groups. She hopes to attend medical school in the future and pursue a career combining neuroscience, pediatrics, and psychology. In her free time, she loves to volunteer for a variety of organizations, dance, learn new languages, watch Netflix, and hangout with her friends.
